Over a series of workshops a group of community musicians and singers became one through creativity and songwriting. Big Song was a project by the City of Charles Sturt and facilitated by musician Heather Frahn who helped participants create their own songs by teaching lyric writing techniques, song structures, melody and the recording process. The broad themes in the lyrics included community connection, friendship and love, the environment and modern society. Throughout the Big Song sessions friendships were made, skills were gained and fantastic songs in different music styles were created!
Come hear some of the songs written in the workshops performed live by the participants... and also receive a free copy of the Big Song CD!
